Making the enterprise data-centric

This study, conducted for Exasol by research firm Vanson Bourne, looked at how and why organisations across two major European markets are transforming from business intelligence to data analytics in order to make better use of their data, power modernisation efforts and service organisational demand. It surveyed a mix of IT and business decision makers in order to fully understand the variances in perception and actions between these two pivotal, but often differently motivated, decision-maker groups.

“62% SEE DATA TRANSFORMATION DELIVERING VALUE”

There is a significant number of transformation projects in progress within UK and German organisations, amid a generally high level of transformation being seen in wider business society. It was not a surprise to see that almost two-thirds of organisations (62%) claim their move from BI to DA is already delivering some of the business value they hoped for. With a little more than a tenth of businesses seeing their data transformation efforts paying off fully, there’s clearly more to be achieved.
