Exasol Recognized in 2021 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Cloud Database Management Systems

Exasol lands in Gartner Magic Quadrant

At the end of 2021, we were excited to learn that Exasol had been recognized in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database Management Systems[1]. We were also identified under all Use Cases in the 2021 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Analytical Use Cases research[2].  We believe being named as a Niche Player in this Magic Quadrant report is a recognition of our hard work as a performance Loading...analytics database.

Offering customers focus, experience, pride and performance 

Gartner evaluated us in this Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database Management Systems (CDBMS), alongside 19 other vendors. In our opinion, by focusing exclusively on our analytics database, we’re in a great position to provide modern functionalities involved in data analytics – including integration with data lakes, Loading...machine learning, and more. This positions our platform well for customers with specific analytics-related needs.

Exasol has been a specialist analytical data warehouse DBMS for over twenty years. And the team continually re-applies this experience to our technology and in helping our customers gain an advantage. Our price and performance also mean that Exasol is an excellent choice for organizations seeking a straightforward and cost-effective solution.  

Gartner Critical Capabilities report

In the Critical Capabilities for Cloud Database Management Systems for Analytics Use Cases research, Exasol was evaluated in the following Use Cases Data Warehouse, Loading...Logical Data Warehouse, Data Lakes, and Operational Intelligence.

We received a Product Score of 3.43 out of 5 in Logical Data Warehouse Use Case and a Product Score of 3.45 out of 5 in Operational Intelligence Use Case. 

The data analytics market is highly competitive, featuring more than 300 products and platforms. We believe being included in this report means we’re making our mark on the data analytics landscape, and we look forward to working with customers who recognize the potential of our platform.

What are Gartner Magic Quadrants?  

Gartner Magic Quadrant research methodology provides a graphical competitive positioning of four types of technology providers in fast-growing markets: Leaders, Visionaries, Niche Players and Challengers. As companion research, Gartner Critical Capabilities notes provide deeper insight into the capability and suitability of providers’ IT products and services based on specific or customized use cases.[3]
