Exasol lands in Gartner Magic Quadrant

At the end of 2021, we were excited to learn that Exasol had been recognized in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database Management Systems[1]. Offering customers focus, experience, pride and performance

Gartner evaluated us in this Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database Management Systems (CDBMS), alongside 19 other vendors. In our opinion, by focusing exclusively on our analytics database, we’re in a great position to provide modern functionalities involved in data analytics – including integration with data lakes, Loading...machine learning, and more. This positions our platform well for customers with specific analytics-related needs.

Exasol has been a specialist analytical data warehouse DBMS for over twenty years. And the team continually re-applies this experience to our technology and in helping our customers gain an advantage. Our price and performance also mean that Exasol is an excellent choice for organizations seeking a straightforward and cost-effective solution.

What are Gartner Magic Quadrants?

Gartner Magic Quadrant research methodology provides a graphical competitive positioning of four types of technology providers in fast-growing markets: Leaders, Visionaries, Niche Players and Challengers. “In our opinion, being included in this Gartner Magic Quadrant is a great acknowledgment that proves our competitiveness and expertise in the field of data analytics,” says Mathias Golombek, Exasol’s Chief Technology Officer. “We set out to make our platform a key cloud DBMS solution, and with its success we’ll continue to extend our position within the analytics market.”

Exasol was identified as a Niche Player in this Cloud Database Management Systems report. Our solution combines Loading...in-memory technology, columnar expression and Loading...MPP, creating the fastest database for analytics and data warehousing, according to TPC-H. That’s complemented by first-class support from our technical experts who work with hundreds of clients globally.
