      Description

      Background

      In Exasol 7.1.0, TLS was made the default encryption protocol for all drivers. More details are in EXASOL-2936. If you wanted to disable TLS verification completely, you would need to add a driver parameter. In EXASOL-2941 and EXASOL-2942, the connection string was made more flexible to support additional methods of adding the fingerprint for verification.

      Improvement

      You can now disable TLS verification by adding a keyword (NOCERTCHECK) in place of where the fingerprint would normally go. This keyword can go after the hostname, after the port, or in the "fingerprint" driver parameter. The keyword is case-insensitive.

      Example:

      1. test.tc.dev.exasol.com/NOCERTCHECK:8563
      2. test.tc.dev.exasol.com:8563/NOCERTCHECK
      3. test.tc.dev.exasol.com:8563;fingerprint=NOCERTCHECK;
