Restore a database instance to a previous state from a backup.

All database backups are stored in the archive volume which can be on either local or remote servers. Incase of a database instance failure, unsuccessful upgrades, or errors on your database, it can be resotred to the previous state using these backups. 

To restore a the database instance from a backup, ensure the following: 

  • The database is shutdown. You will not be able to restore the backup if the database is running. 
  • The cluster to which you are restoring  restoring the backup has the same number of nodes as the one used to create the backup.
