Privacy Statement for
Exasol Analytic Database

Scope

Exasol Europa Vertriebs GmbH (“Exasol”) has contracted with Microsoft Corporation (“Microsoft”) to publish virtual hard drive images that include Exasol Analytic Database pre-installed on Linux (“Pre-Installed Images”) for use within Windows Azure.  This notice applies to your use of the Exasol Software within virtual machines deployed using such Pre-Installed Images.  Your use of the Windows Azure services will continue to be subject to the Windows Azure Privacy Statement

Telemetry Data

We may receive telemetry data measuring your usage of Windows Azure virtual machines with pre-installed Exasol Software from the Windows Azure service or from Microsoft (“Telemetry Data”). We may use Telemetry Data to measure the total usage of Pre-Installed Images within Windows Azure.

Support Data

Support Data is the information we collect when you submit a support request, including information about hardware, software, and other details related to the support incident, such as: contact or authentication information, chat session personalization, information about the condition of the machine and the application when the fault occurred and during diagnostics, system and registry data about software installations and hardware configurations, and error-tracking files.

Support may be provided through phone or e-mail, if a separate support agreement was concluded. We may use Remote Access (RA), with your permission, to temporarily navigate your machine. Phone conversations, online chat sessions, or Remote Access sessions with support professionals may be recorded and/or monitored with your permission. For Online Chat or RA, you may end a session at any time of your choosing. We may use Support Data as described in this Privacy Statement, to resolve your support incident, and for training purposes.

Sharing Your Information

We will not disclose Telemetry Data or Support Data ("your information") outside of the Exasol group (Exasol AG, Exasol Vertriebsholding GmbH, Exasol Europa Vertriebs GmbH, Exasol Cloud Computing GmbH) except as described in your Windows Azure subscription agreement(s) or this Privacy Statement.

Changes to this Privacy Statement

We will occasionally update this Privacy Statement to reflect customer feedback and changes to our Software offerings. When we post changes to this Privacy Statement, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Statement for the products and services you use to learn how Exasol is protecting your information.
