Xperts will support the continuous growth of the Exasol Community. They will showcase how other users and companies can improve their businesses by using Exasol.

Exasol Xperts are professionals – passionate about the future of data. They are considered as essential references in the world of analytics. In their constant search for innovation, they are an integral part of the development process of Exasol solutions, and contribute to higher engagement within the Exasol Community. Our Xperts share their knowledge with other peers within the community and help us to improve our products every day.
Vitaly is a data engineer at Badoo, a global social network with 400M+ users. He is experienced in building highly efficient data pipelines and developing complex systems working under heavy load. Vitaly loves to discover previously undocumented features in the Exasol software and helps other customers in demanding technical challenges. He is the creator of PyEXASOL, an open source Python driver. In 2019, Vitaly was endorsed by Tech Nation, a network for ambitious tech entrepreneurs, and was recognized by the UK government as an exceptional talent in the field of digital technology.
Karl is a certified database administrator and has worked at the ARZ Allgemeines Rechenzentrum for over 16 years, ensuring that data can be analyzed and processed efficiently. Karl has many years of experience with a number of leading solutions including IBM DB2, IBM Information Server, SAP BI, Imperva SecureSphere, MySQL and of course Exasol.
Long Standing Commitment
As Director of Digital Analytics Platforms, Graham is a leading member of the IT team within the Digital Brand Management function of adidas AG. Having spent six years in Manchester with the adidas UK Ltd. sales subsidiary and fifteen years at adidas HQ (Herzogenaurach) working in various business intelligence related roles, Graham has covered all aspects of the business from finance and sales, to planning and supply chain functions. During his time with adidas, Graham has become highly experienced with tools like MicroStrategy, Tableau, SAP BW, Exasol and more recently, in his Digital related role, has made the natural progression into the world of advanced analytics with exposure to tools such as Alteryx, Python and R. Through an innovative approach to consumer profiling, the Digital IT team at adidas generates a catalogue of ‘consumer DNA genes’, making these genes available for closed-loop feedback in campaign targeting tools as well as for personalizing the consumer experience as part of the adidas marketing business in general.
Tableau Project + Exasol Expertise
Mark is a globally recognized leader in business intelligence solutions with expertise in data modeling, SQL, Python, and presentation tools as Tableau. Mark has been featured in multiple journalistic publications, published multiple TDWI articles, was featured in “The Big Book of Dashboards” and he runs a BI focused blog with over 850 thousand page views. As a prolific public speaker, he speaks to audiences of over 2,000 people.
Mark has 6 years of “Big Four” experience in a broad range of services and has assisted a number of Fortune 1000 companies in both advisory and audit capacity. He was named a Tableau Zen Master for 5 consecutive years, an achievement shared by a less than 10 people around the world. Currently, Mark serves as the Director of Business Intelligence for Piedmont Healthcare, a large healthcare provider in the United States.
For more than 10 years, Tobias has been part of the DWH Competence Center at b.telligent, a leading German business intelligence consultancy. For the last 5 years, he has led the team and interacts with a variety of databases, among them Exasol as their chosen high performance option.
Before joining b.telligent, he worked in several enterprises as an Oracle database developer. Tobias has a proven expertise in BI strategy and organizational projects, from planning to realizing for numerous customers. He is an expert in BI automatization, hybrid infrastructures and data vault.
Hannover Rück SE
As software engineer, Malte is responsible for working with the technology stack at Hannover Rück SE, consisting of Oracle, Informatica, MicroStrategy and Exasol. Prior to his work at Hannover Rück, Malte spent 5 years at SV Informatik as a developer for Oracle and Informatica environments. Beside his work on the Exasol environment, Malte takes care of the implementation of interfaces for systems, like the internal IFRS and Solvency II Reporting.
How do I become an Xpert?
Be a part of the Exasol’s customers and partners program for at least one year.
Be an Exasol guru and therefore, maintain a high level of knowledge about Exasol.
Be willing to share knowledge and best practices with the broader Exasol Community.
Act as community leaders and show high engagement within the Exasol User Portal.
