Making the enterprise data-centric

This study, conducted for Exasol by research firm Vanson Bourne, looked at how and why organisations across two major European markets are transforming from Loading...in-memory-database/">business intelligence to data analytics in order to make better use of their data, power modernisation efforts and service organisational demand. It surveyed a mix of IT and business decision makers in order to fully understand the variances in perception and actions between these two pivotal, but often differently motivated, decision-maker groups.

“62% SEE DATA TRANSFORMATION DELIVERING VALUE”

There is a significant number of transformation projects in progress within UK and German organisations, amid a generally high level of transformation being seen in wider business society. It was not a surprise to see that almost two-thirds of organisations (62%) claim their move from BI to DA is already delivering some of the business value they hoped for. With a little more than a tenth of businesses seeing their data transformation efforts paying off fully, there’s clearly more to be achieved.
