For your application, we process the following data from you:
- name and surname
- telephone number (private or mobile)
- email address
- application documents (cover letter, CV, certificates or similar)
In order to collect and process applications consistently, we use a software system provided by HRworks (HRworks GmbH, Konrad-Goldmann-Str. 5b, 79100 Freiburg, Germany). HRworks processes your data on our behalf and does not transfer your data to third parties.
The required data is mainly collected directly from you or other third parties, e.g. employment agencies or from publicly accessible sources (e.g. professional networks).
Purpose and legal basis of data collection
We process your application data solely for our recruitment process. Your data will only be forwarded to the responsible persons and departments at Exasol. We will not transfer your data to third parties.
Within our group of companies, your data may be transferred to certain companies if these companies carry out data processing tasks centrally for the affiliated companies in the group (e.g. payroll accounting, HR matters).
Your application data can be used for statistical purposes (e.g. reporting) in a manner that does not allow to identify individual persons.
By sending us your application data you consent into data processing for the purpose of the application on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. If it is necessary to store your data for a longer period for legal purposes, it will be based on our legitimate interests (enforcement or defence of claims) according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Retention period of application data
We delete your application data three months after conclusion of the application process. This does not apply in case legal provisions prevent us from data deletion, a further storage of your application data is necessary for evidentiary purposes or in case you consented to a longer retention period.
Use of data for future job postings
If you consent into storing your data beyond the current application, we will store your application data for future job posting.
By sending your application data, you consent into storing and processing your personal data. You can revoke your consent at any time with an effect for the future.
Additionally, you have the right to rectification or erasure of personal data and restriction of processing and, if applicable, the right to data portability and, in case of assuming an unlawful processing, lodging a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
