Operational BI

What is Operational business intelligence?

Operational business intelligence, sometimes called real-time business intelligence, is an approach to data analysis that enables decisions to be taken based on the real-time data companies generate and use on a day-to-day basis.

Why use Operational business intelligence (OBI)?

Business intelligence is crucial if you want to make informed decisions for the benefit of your organization and customers as important as operational business intelligence has been, data analytics go way beyond traditional BI by giving you far greater predictive decision-making power. And in the long run they enable you to take the next step towards more automation or artificial intelligence in the workplace.

Did you know?

The term Business Intelligence was  first used by Richard Millar Devens in 1865 in his Encyclopaedia of Commercial and Business Anecdotes and he used it to describe how the banker Sir Henry Furnese gained profit by receiving and acting upon information about his environment.
