London, UK – 15 November 2017: Exasol, the provider of the world’s fastest in-memory analytic database, today announced that Ravinder Romanay has been appointed as its new Global Head of Partners and Alliances. With partner growth at the centre of its plans, Ravinder joins Exasol to deliver the company’s worldwide channel strategy – building and continuing to develop the entire partner ecosystem across VARs, consulting, system integrators and technology alliances. It is the second major leadership appointment for Exasol in the last month as it continues its rapid business and channel growth worldwide.
Ravinder joins Exasol to unlock new channel opportunities and expand its partner reach. Building on the company’s presence in 15 countries – all supported by partner relationships – Exasol is eyeing significant growth of its geographical footprint, as well as widening its presence across all market segments.
Before joining Exasol, Ravinder lead the EMEA partner development activities at self-service data visualisation specialist Qlik. She played a strategic role in developing strategic partnerships with the System Integrators. Before, she spent 12 years with IBM Software Group, where she built and developed partnerships with organisations including Capgemini, Deloitte, Computacenter, Infosys & Cognizant.
An experienced alliances and sales leader, with particular focus on strategy, business development, and programmes for resellers, system integrators and management consultants, Ravinder will support Exasol in developing strategies to enter these new markets. This includes recruiting and on-boarding new best-in-class partners and building an engaging, intuitive partner programme.
The new partner programme will focus on recruiting new partners and make sure they are enabled (Sales, Marketing, Technical). It will give resellers and vendors everything they need to become experts when selling and integrating Exasol’s database platform on-premise or in the cloud. It will support partners at every step in the sales transaction process, as well as be a hub for marketing and other resources to support the Exasol partner ecosystem and help jointly target local markets. The partner programme will provide added-value by qualifying participants as certified Exasol partners, helping them grow their business opportunities by affirming their status as trusted advisors.

Ravinder is also passionate about developing the next generation of partner managers and is in the process of developing a partner academy at Exasol. This will coach and develop current and prospective managers, providing them with all the essentials to build and maintain new partner relationships.
