Extending its claim as the fastest Loading...in-memory database in the world, EXASOL broke even more records for the Transaction Processing Performance Council’s Industry standard TPC-H benchmark. EXASOL now leads in all categories from 100GB to 100TB data sizes. EXASOL is the only database company to ever benchmark an Loading...in-memory system at 100TB, delivering not only a 140 times performance increase but also a massive average 66 percent cost savings on a cost per performance basis over the nearest competitor. These results demonstrate EXASOL’s speed, scalability and cost/performance, which have consistently dominated the TPC-H benchmarks since 2008.

Product Releases

The latest release of EXASolution Version 5 in June of 2014 provided even better performance and a completely new in-database analytic tool called Skyline to enable "Preference Analytics." Preference Analytics help remove subjective elements from the analysis process, giving businesses greater confidence in query findings, Loading...predictive analytics and enabling better, more agile decision-making.

Additionally, the company announced the availability of the EXASolution Community Edition, a free to download version of the most powerful engine for analytics and data warehousing.

Key Senior Management Appointment

With the belief of hiring people whose passion drives the success of its company, EXASOL announced this month the hire of new Chief Marketing Officer, Sean Jackson. Sean brings a wealth of industry experience to EXASOL after most recently serving as marketing director of EMEA at Actian and also, previously, marketing director at Kognitio. Sean will focus on the company’s marketing strategy to help grow EXASOL to a truly global player in analytics and data management.
