Data Visualization

what is data visualization?

Data Visualization is the term used to describe the way data is presented in an eye-catching way, as opposed to stark figures or code. It describes a way to help people understand data by using a visual context. Patterns, trends and correlations can be seen that might not be obvious when looking at the raw data.

Why use Data Visualization?

Some people say a picture is worth a thousand words and that definitely rings true if you compare simple visualization to a set of raw data – especially as the brain processes visual information 60,000 faster than text.  It’s a great way to quickly glean meaning from data, at a glance, and bring your insights to life.  Patterns, trends and correlations can be seen that might not be obvious when looking at the raw data.
