2015 was a great year for EXASOL. Not only did we sign up a record number of new customers worldwide and therefore grow our customer base by 41% when compared with 2014, the company signed 8 new customers in December 2015 alone, a large percentage of whom are based in the UK and Ireland. Therefore, it is with this growth in mind that EXASOL has wasted no time in 2016 by investing further in the UK and Ireland, the company’s second largest market outside of German-speaking Europe.
Apart from a significant investment in sales, marketing and customer support, we have also opened our new UK headquarters in Bracknell as part of a strategic move to make our UK home in the Thames Valley, an area that offers highly-skilled technology professionals and a range of great business opportunities.
Of course, the Thames Valley has a history of database vendors. Some of the big players still have a presence in the region as do other smaller companies, so it makes sense to capitalize on the knowhow and expertise in the area. What’s more, some of our key partners have their European HQ in the Thames Valley too, including Dell, Microsoft Azure and Birst.
To celebrate the move, a mobile billboard was recently seen on the roads around the Thames Valley to promote the opening of our new UK headquarters. It certainly turned a few heads given the strong message that the world’s fastest, MPP in-memory analytic database is now in Bracknell – just look at the TPC-H benchmark results for details. And, the billboard also promoted the fact that EXASOL is hiring. So, if you are interested, why not get in touch by looking at the careers section on our website?
