Dr. Gerhard Bolenz has been an Executive Board Member and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of EXASOL AG since February 2006. He was awarded his doctorate at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main on the subject of “Sequential Investment and Financing Decisions”.

 

Dr. Gerhard Bolenz has approximately 25 years of experience in management of all kinds of technology-based businesses. Before starting at EXASOL AG, he worked from 2001 to 2006 as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of WaveLight Technologie AG and its ten subsidiaries. Before this, he was the Managing Director for Commerce and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board at Deutsche Exide GmbH in Büdingen. He continued to work for this company as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board right up to September 2007. From 1991 until 1998, he was the CFO of the globally-positioned semi-conductor division of TEMIC microelectronic GmbH, a subsidiary of the Daimler Benz Group. Other stops in his career included a number of corporate divisions of AEG Aktiengesellschaft, as well as W.D. Warren Company KG and Transformatoren Union AG in Nuremberg.
