EXASOL Certified Developer (Applications)

Target group: developers of database applications wanting to connect their products to EXASolution
Requirements: practical experience with SQL, fundamental database knowledge and programming skills in Java, Net 2.0 and/or C/C++
Duration: 4 days, including basic course and practical exercises

 

Contents:

 

The course concentrates on the use of EXASolution via proprietary applications:

  • The schema concept
  • Rights and user administration in EXASolution
  • Important system tables and their benefits
  • Important SQL constructs
  • Handling identifiers in EXASOL SQL
  • Properties and behavior of the transaction system

The second part examines the use of resources provided by of EXASolution for developing client applications. Course participants are instructed in the correct use of EXASolution interfaces:

 

  • JDBC
  • ODBC
  • ADO.NET
  • EXASOL CLI

Detailed programming examples are given for each interface.
